College is a time of enlightenment. College students are great at a lot of things. Many of the worlds greatest inventions were invented inside of that 12x19 ft room we like to call home for at least the first year of our college lives when everything was bright, shiny and new, when we still believed every little naive thing that our brain supplied us. Honestly, the first year of college is the year you think everything is sunshine and unicorns that s**t rainbows. While college kids are great at a lot of things, we also tend to be horrible people. College students are some of the worst people, and here are 12 reasons why.
12. When left to our own devices, the world could turn catastrophic (at least more so than what it is now).
11. We live like every day is a party until it is not.
10. We are some of the most burned out type of people you will meet, which is sad because our responsibility level compared to adults is a two on a scale of one to 10, with being a real adult being an 11 (on a good day).
9. We are all sleep deprived, caffeine drinking junkies. Seriously, if you do not see 90 percent of girls (and guys) with sunglasses on their head, Starbucks in their hands and shorts (whether it is Sophie or Khaki), then you are not on or near a college campus.
8. College people are some of the world's dumbest people on earth. Dares are our candy. No matter how bad the dare, we do it. Why? Because why not.
7. We have major avoidance issues. We receive directions for a semester-long project during the first week of class, and we do not start the project until the night before. We are master procrastinators. Another group of people can never touch our procrastination skills. Or, if they do, we will deal with it tomorrow.
6. Our addiction to Netflix is real and we should all enter rehab. Ninety percent of people have Netflix problems, but being a college student takes it to the next level.
5. We get distracted very easily. We are worst than a dog.
4. We are all adults who cannot adult. Most of the time, we act like children (who should be in permanent time out).
3. We are broke all the time, no matter how much we try not to be.
2. In general, college students do not know how to handle important matters. So, when you come across a college student who does, they become everyone's mother.
1. The biggest and most important reason why college students suck is because we think we know everything when, in reality, we know nothing.
Even with all of these things, we would never change our lives in college. Sometimes we even extend it.
