Reasons the Christmas Season is the Best

Everyone I know absolutely loves the Christmas season. Some are even slightly obsessed with it but I won't completely call him out. However, there are reasons we all love it so much. Now, I wasn't able to come up with many reasons because of just how much I love it but here are a few reasons the Christmas season is the best ever.

1) The Possibility of Snow

Okay, so I realize that we don't always get a white Christmas. In fact, I feel like I rarely see snow. However, knowing that there is a possibility of it makes me excited. Sorry, I love snow.

2) The Food

There are some candy and foods that are only available this time of year. I'll own up to having an addiction to chocolate oranges. Sorry not sorry. They're literally my favorite thing ever but are only available during this time of year.

3) The Music

Christmas music is awesome however, it is only appropriate during this time of the year. Not that Thanksgiving is over I will have Christmas music playing 24/7. As I am writing this, I'm listening to Christmas music. Face it, you know you love it.

4) The Funny Christmas Sweaters

Disclaimer: I don't own any Christmas sweaters. That being said, I absolutely love seeing them in stores. I even love seeing pictures form ugly Christmas sweater parties. It's very entertaining to me and I'm sure others feel this way as well.

5) The Movies

This is literally my favorite part of the Christmas season. I love Christmas movies so much. I watch them all year round however it's just not the same. Being able to turn on the TV and just flip to a channel and see a Christmas movie makes my heart so happy. I have a problem. I accept it.

6) The Decorations

I can't be the only one that drives around looking at Christmas lights during this time of the year. Christmas trees are the cutest thing ever in my opinion. Christmas decorations in general make me happy and I'm sure many of you feel the same way.

7) Christmas Break

Now, the reason most people love the Christmas season, Christmas break. Who doesn't love a month off of school to be home with your family and friends? I know I do. After the struggles of first semester, we all deserve it and I know everyone counts down the days.

Clearly, I am a tad bit in love with the Christmas season. Knowing I'm not the only one makes it a little better. If anyone needs someone to go look at lights or to watch Christmas movies with, hit me up. It would make me so happy!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
