When you live in a house with four other girls there is never a boring day. We have way too much fun with way too little boundaries. We bicker like sisters and brutally honest. We share almost everything from food to clothes.
Playing house with your four best friends is one of the best parts about getting older. You soon realize you aren't playing house, and you are expected to take care of yourself. We all take turns playing mom and cooking and cleaning. There is nothing better than coming to a clean house with dinner on the table after a long day in class and the library.
Brutal honesty is one of the rules of the house. Whether its disapproving of an outfit or a boy, we always have each others best interest at heart. It may seem mean to an outsider, but we know that we love each other and we are just trying to be helpful.
Every boundary that most friendships have are broken in our household. We never knock and rarely wear pants. We crawl into each others beds like they are our own. Its rare for us to be at the gym, studying, or out without at least one other roommate by our sides.
We are constantly messing with each other. We move each others belongings around, pretend our house is haunted, or jump out of places to scare each other. We make each others stomachs hurt from laughing too much. There are nights where we stand around the kitchen island dipping spoons into a tub of ice cream or sitting on the couch recapping the weekend.
Don't be fooled, even though we are best friends we still bicker. High amounts of estrogen under one roof will cause everyone to snap once in a while. We know that it is not personal and we forgive each other very quickly.
I love knowing that their are four other girls under this roof to do life with. They are always here to make me laugh, help me get ready, and make me be social. This year is going to be one of the best ones of college because I have these four girls by my side.
