Finals week and spring commencement ceremonies are right around the corner for most colleges and universities. No matter what your parents, friends or professors have told you throughout your college career, the end is near. So take a breath, relax and sit back to remember the experiences you have had in college. Here are real thoughts of college students, with the help of e-cards, as well as tips to make it through your finals.
Finals week:
1. “How much does my final exam or project REALLY matter for my future?” A thought that crosses the mind of all students as finals week commences.
2. We are at that point in the semester when we begin to plug in a 0 for our final grade in hopes that we can still earn an overall passing grade. Admit it, we have all been there.
3. That moment when you begin to feel the repercussions of procrastinating the entire semester. The struggle is indeed real and you are not alone.
4. “When will I ever need to know this for my future?” A common thought that crosses the mind of students as they sit through general education classes. Gen-Eds are a burden and often times you find yourself questioning why you even have to take them.
5. But don’t fret! If nothing else, Gen-Eds prepare you for the real-life of jobs you may have in the future that you absolutely hate.
6. Reaching the point mid-study when you literally just can’t anymore. Don’t give up!
7. Yes, I know. 'Captain America: Civil War' just hit theaters. Plan and set aside the time, apart from your studies, to go see it!
8. Coffee. Sugar. Grease. The true food loves of finals week. Cheat week from your diet has officially began.
9. Don’t forget: Your GPA won’t make or break you, no matter what you have been told. Getting the degree is the ultimate goal.
Graduation:
1. Well, you made it. You are a college graduate! Now, it is time to realize and remember you are actually an adult and that "real-life" has begun.
2. Student loans are real. Put that degree to use and look for jobs as soon as possible!
3. For all of the college commuters out there, I understand you and your daily frustrations.
4. No matter what any of our professors said, Wikipedia was and is the most reliable source out there.
5. Be smart on social media! Remember, you are an adult now.
6. I hope your name isn’t butchered during your commencement ceremony. If it is, I feel your pain. Use this as your last dose of comedy during your college career.
7. Some days you may have felt as though you weren't learning a single thing of importance. The degree will be worth it when you find a job to help pay back the amount of student loans you are soon to be swimming in.
8. Even if it took you longer than expected, the end is here! And hey, that counts for something!
Congratulations to all of the 2016 graduates and good luck to those preparing for finals!
