New Year's resolutions are extremely difficult, I'm not going to lie to you. You're committing to a single goal for a year along with everything else going on in your life. That's a hard thing to do. Allow the following alternative resolutions make it a little easier...
Instead of being kind...
Restrict yourself to just one sassy comment a day.
Instead of working out every day...
Take the stairs once and reward yourself later with a small fry and chocolate shake.
Instead of staying in touch with hometown friends...
Never text during the school year, but if you run into them at the grocery store talk about how you don't talk anymore.
Instead of getting organized...
Shove everything under your bed and just consider it clean since you can't see the mess. Except for dishes, that's gross—wash those.
Instead of learning something new...
Take one French class and learn how to say your name, where the bathroom is, and the fact that you cannot speak French.
Instead spending more time with family...
FaceTime your mom once a week and just consider it more time spent together since you're talking and face-to-face.
Instead of saving money...
Let's face it, it's not going to happen this year...
Instead of eliminating stress...
Don't do this one, either.
Instead of eating healthy...
Order your regular cheese pizza, but with green peppers on top and call it a sort-of salad.
