Whenever President Trump hears something he doesn't like from the media, be it about connections to Russia or even domestic issues, he says that it's "Fake News". He once even tweeted that the American media is the enemy of the people. His press secretary, Sean Spicer once kicked out several news outlets from a conference. Trump also refused to go to the White House Correspondents Dinner. But the real "Fake News" is currently coming out of the White House.
Trump has been saying outlandish things for a while now, but they used to mostly be just opinions. However, now, as POTUS, he is making serious accusations without any evidence to back them up. For example, he accused Obama of wiretapping the Trump Tower. This week, Kellyanne Conway accused Obama of wiretapping the microwave. When Angela Merkel came to visit the White House Trump refused to shake her hand but did say that they were both being wiretapped by Obama.
Now, most of the population realizes that these accusations are ridiculous. But some people still believe them, they are coming from the President after all. And that in itself is very scary. The President is allowed to have whatever opinions he wants but to make completely unfounded accusations against a former President is way out of line. This week he accused Fox News of starting the wiretapping rumor.
So before he says that all the media does is produce "Fake News" again he should take a look in the mirror and in the White House.
