My Reaction To The First Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer

Well, a lot of trailers have been dropping recently. There is a new Last of Us game coming out, Tom Cruise has a new movie, and Marvel dropped two trailers. One was for the new Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2 which was awesome, but I want to focus on the new Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer.

It starts out with Spider-Man fighting some robbers with Avengers masks on, and of course, Tom Holland proves to us that this Spider-Man is going to be quick-witted which is nice. Then the trailer goes into a direction of a coming-of-age film, sort of like The Breakfast Club or The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

I loved this aspect of the trailer. It shows how Peter Parker is just a kid, and he has to deal with the struggles of high school, which I feel the previous incarnations of the Spider-Man movies kind of lacked. I get the feeling they are going to balance Peter and Spider-Man. i also loved the addition of his friends, espiecally Zendaya's character.

It also shows Tony Stark being like a mentor or a father figure type of character towards Peter. If this is done right, this could show good character growth for Tony. I truly think that he has grown to care somewhat for Peter, but he wants him to shine as a superhero. This is because at the end of the trailer, we see Iron Man by Spider-Man's side.

The trailer then shifts into the more superhero aspect with the introduction to Micheal Keaton's Vulture. Apparently, this villain has been a campy villain to Spider-Man throughout the comic book run, but this villain seems like a badass. I just hope the character is drawn out well in the movie. Spider-Man has the most notable and coolest villains in the Marvelverse. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been lacking with their villains, so let's hope the Vulture is good. I mean you got Michael Keaton. Make his performance count. If you do, we can get great villains that we haven't seen before like Black Cat, Carnage, or even do Venom again (and do it right).

All and all, I'm very excited for this new Spider-Man film. I was very pleased with Tom Holland's performance, and this movie will be different from other movies in the MCU because of his age. Spider-Man has always been the hero that kids and teenagers can relate to because he is just like them. Everyone can see themselves as Spider-Man.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
