A Ranking of the "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" Characters

*Spoilers for "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" ahead*

1. Jess

Jess was probably the only truly sane one in the entire revival and he even tries to talk some sense into Rory. He is also the one who encourages Rory to write the book about her and her mom, the one thing that gets her out of her "rut."

2. Logan

This one may be controversial, but I love Logan and I always have and I always will. He may be semi-slimy in the revival, but he is still the most interesting character in the entire show. When he goes to visit Rory in Stars Hollow and takes her on that little adventure, that is probably the best part of the entire revival.

3. Paris

Paris has her shit together in the revival (for the most part). She has kids, an amazing job, and she looks great. She has her moments, but she always did, so let's cut her some slack. Compared to the old Paris who was kinda a raging bitch and psychopath, the new Paris is extraordinary.

4. Luke

Luke is probably better in the revival than in the actual show. He is so patient with Lorelei — he waits for her when she goes on some crazy "Wild" hike and he lets her keep her myriad of DVR recordings. He uses the word "oops" and he feeds Paul Anka cooked steak, so basically he's now a softie and I love it.

5. Michel

Michel was always amazing and still is in the revival. He tries to keep Lorelei at bay, while also being a little crazy himself. The reason he isn't at the top is because he tried to leave The Dragonfly, which basically makes him a traitor.

6. Lorelei

I've always loved Lorelei, but she's a bit of a handful in the revival. She tries to do the "Wild" hike and she tries to have a baby — that should be enough to key you in to the fact that she is a little crazy in the revival.

7. Kirk

Kirk basically copies Uber, eats dinner at the Gilmore's because his car broke down, and beautifully decorates for Lorelei's wedding — what's not to love?

8. Emily

Emily is a little strange in the revival, which is understandable considering she just lost her husband. She is for sure more likeable in the revival than in the actual show though — she wears her daughters clothing, lets Berta's family stay with her, and has an amazing resolution at the end of the series (which is nice because she is probably the only one who does).

9. Lane

Lane doesn't do much in the revival, but she's helpful for the most part so shoutout to her for that.

10. Sookie

I loved Sookie in Gilmore Girls, which is why I was upset she wasn't in the revival more. Plus, she leaves The Dragonfly to go taste soill or something.

11. Rory

The only reason Rory isn’t at the bottom is because Dean is the actual worst always. Rory is, yet again, annoying, helpless, and irresponsible. I never liked Rory, so it's not surprising that she is equally as bad in the revival, but honestly it seems like she tries to ruin her own life.

12. Dean

Dean was always the worst from day 1, do I need to explain further?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
