1. The Milky Way Galaxy tastes like raspberries.
Astronomers have discovered the large dust cloud at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy contains large quantities of ethyl formate, the same thing that gives raspberries their flavor. Can you picture some giant alien being out there floating and tasting the Milky Way?

The First Car Race in the World was held in 1897. The winning car had a top speed of a whopping seven miles per hour. The first person to die in a car accident was a woman who was hit by a car going only four miles per hour while she was crossing the street.
3. The largest snake to have ever lived was the Titanoboa.
It lived many years ago, during the Paleocene era. It was approximately 48-feet long and 2,500 pounds. That's almost big enough to be a real life basilisk! Without the death stare and deadly venom of course. The fossilized remains of one of these creatures was first discovered in a Colombian coal mine.
4. The most children ever born to one woman was 69.
The mother was Mrs. Vassilyeva, wife of Feodor Vassilyev. She was a peasant in Shuya, Russia, during the 1700s. Numerous sources confirm this unlikely story, which is presented in "The Guiness book of World Records." With 27 pregnancies, Mrs. Vassilyeva gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets, and four sets of quadruplets.
5. The world's longest movie will take you a month to watch.
A trailer was recently released for what will be the world's longest movie. The trailer alone was seven hours and twenty minutes long. The full film will be 720 hours, which is 30 days long. The movie is called "Ambiance," and it will be screened one time and then destroyed.
6. There is a company working on building an elevator to the moon.
The Japanese company Obayashi Corp plans to construct the elevator using carbon nanotubes, and the company predicts it will be able to complete the elevator by 2050.
7. The most expensive coffee in the world costs approximately $100-$600 a pound.
It's called Kopi luwak. The main reason for the high cost is its unusual method of production. The beans must first be digested by a small cat-like animal called a palm civet. Apparently it's quite tasty, but in my opinion, no thanks.
8. The world's most expensive baseball card is a T-800 Honus Wagner.
Only about 40 of these were made in 1908 by the Tobacco company. The company had began printing the cards without permission from Wagner, who forced the company to stopped when he found out as he didn't want his likeness being used to promote the use of tobacco. If you can find one of these cards today it has an average worth of about $500,000. However, one in mint condition will be worth well over a million dollars.
9. "Avatar" is the highest grossing film of all time.
With a worldwide gross of 2.8 billion dollars. James Cameron currently has four sequels in development
10. The tallest man who ever lived was 8 feet 11.1 inches tall.
He also holds the world record for the largest hands ever and the largest feet ever. His hands were over a foot long from his wrist to the tip of his middle finger, and his feet were a foot-and-a-half long.
11. Quokkas are known as the world's happiest animals.
The Australian marsupials have a permanent smile fixed on their face that make them a favorite for tourists who like to use them as selfie partners.
