We've all seen the truck commercials from companies like Ford, Chevy, Nissan and Toyota. Big, strong cowboys are throwing hay into the bed. A man in wranglers shuts the door and walks through a dirty field to nowhere in particular. Words like "tough," "strong," and “unbreakable” are partnered with dark, bold colors and a deep, ominous voice talking about how American you are, and why you need their truck to prove your patriotism.
Essentially, you’re not a “real man” unless you’re driving a real pick-up.
But what about the women who enjoy their share of four-wheel drive? What about the girls who prefer climbing up into their vehicle as opposed to sitting down?
Ram has made it clear that these women also deserve a tough, strong, and unbreakable ride.
In a market that is so dominated by men, Ram has made a serious power-move with this commercial. No glittery, pink, “trucks are for girls” stickers. No bikini-clad blondes soaping up the hood with perfect curls and flawless make-up. Instead, strong women doing what they do best: living.
What’s stronger than a woman who breaks stereotypes? What’s tougher than a woman who does a man’s job that day, and is gentle enough to be a mom that night? What’s more unbreakable than the passions of a woman who has her eyes focused on the goal ahead?
Apparently, only Ram.
