It's almost time for school to start. While college students everywhere are preparing to pack, student leaders are about to make the journey to their schools for their student leadership training.

Though I may be biased, the most prestigious and well known is RA training. Usually the longest, it is filled with the cheesiest people on campus. I am a returning RA this year, and I think that my first training was one of the highlights of my sophomore year.

I am very lucky to be going back to my school this week to begin and I couldn't be more excited.

So, with the help of my favorite show, this is RA Training as told by How I Met Your Mother:

1. When you move into your new room and you are ready to start training.

2. When you walk into the training room and see your staff.

3. When you are doing staff introductions.

4. When you just listened to some sessions that were really boring.

5. When you and your best friend get paired up for the first active ice-breaker.

6. When a new RA asks a returner for advice.

7. When you get to Diversity/Inclusion Day.

8. Anytime you get to eat. Food is precious.

9. When pro-staff starts to talk about duty etiquette.

10. You finally get to be vulnerable and you end up spilling your guts.

11. When you have to do your 50th icebreaker that week.

12. And you have start practicing for the staff skit competition.

13. You finally get to have a good night sleep because your residents move in tomorrow.

14. And then you finally get to see your residents and you get to use everything you learned to make sure they have a fantastic year.

Well... at least until May.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
