10 Quotes For Every 20-Year-Old Out There

Sometimes we just need a little bit of inspiration during this crazy time that they call "the 20s." So, what better burst of inspiration is there than a few quotes?

"Live for the moment, because everything else is uncertain." - Louis Tomlinson

It's true. Everything is so uncertain. What are you going to do for a living? Where are you going to move? Will you get a job? Well, while you definitely have to start getting your stuff together, you truly never know what is going to happen. Enjoy each moment and opportunity that presents itself.

"Every time we make the decision to love someone, we open ourselves to great suffering... The greatest pain comes from leaving. The pain of leaving can tear us apart. Still, if we want to avoid the suffering of leaving, we will never experience the joy of loving. We have to trust that the risk of loving is always worth taking." - Henri J.M. Nouwen

There are many times when you may question whether the pain of possibly losing someone is worth it, but it is so important to be able to put yourself out there and trust that you will be lead to the right place.

"The worst mistakes are the ones you never learn from."

Sometimes you have to make mistakes and learn from them yourself, but if you end up making that same mistake twice, don't blame anyone else.

"The simplicity of it is this: give everything you have to give in every moment, completely." - David Deida

Whether it is in your classes, your job, your relationship, or any other aspect of your life, make sure to always give everything that you have.

"If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies."

Change may be hard sometimes, but it is also necessary.

"You know, all that matters is that the people you love are happy and healthy, everything else is just sprinkles on the sundae." - Paul Walker

Always think about how important both your health and the health of those who are around you truly is.

"Good things fall apart so better things can fall together." - Marilyn Monroe

If a relationship fails or something just seems to fall apart that was once great, don't worry because something better will come along in time.

"Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life."

Your 20s are a time of growth and change, which is why it's important to surround yourself with people who really do make you a better person.

"People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, 'Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.' I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds."

Be more accepting of people. Realize that, just like every sunset is different, every person is different, yet beautiful in their own ways.

"There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind."

Remember, as scary as the future may seem, it is also exciting and there is so much to look forward to in the years to come.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
