Recently I read a book that I thought was just going to be a cheesy novel with no real substance behind it, but that's what I was only into when I bought it. I ended up taking over six months to read it and I regretted taking that long to read it because I finished it recently and it was actually a beautifully written book. The book was called, "Love in Lowercase" by Francesc Miralles. Here a few I really enjoyed:
1. "Thousands of candles can be lit by just one candle, and the life of that candle will not be shorter because of it. Happiness is never diminished by being shared."
2. "Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional. He who doesn't know what to attend to and what not to need attends to the unimportant and ignores the essential."
3. "In order to find something, you've got to let yourself go. If you follow preconceived ideas, you won't even see what's happening in front of your nose."
4. "We frequently miss opportunities because we're aware of them."
5. "Experience can never be shared. It's severed in separate packets."
6. "Let us be thankful, for if we have not learned a lot today, we have at least learned a little; and if we have not learned a little, we have at least not fallen ill; and if we have fallen ill, we have at least not died, and for this we are thankful."
This book was filled with many beautiful quotes from the author and even from other people that he used to help complete his story.
