Our busy schedules seem to have become even more jam packed than they already were. Holiday parties, Christmas shopping, studying for finals, and much more seem to fill up our lives and leave little room for anything else.
The winter holidays have always been my favorite time of the year, and I love the home cooking that comes along with it. Just because we have so little free time does not mean I am going to sacrifice my homemade meals that I bring to holiday parties. Over the past couple of years, I have found a couple of super quick and easy recipes that take less than 30 minutes to prepare, and will have you and your dish out the door to the party right on time.
Candy cane snack mix. This sweet and salty holiday favorite not only tastes delicious, but it takes only a couple of minutes to whip up. Another plus? You can make a ton of it in one batch, so it will be a great snack to keep for later!
Angel wings.Trying to stay healthy this year? These cute treats are the perfect snack to bring to a party, and they won’t break the calorie bank. Sweet, delicious, and healthy; what could be a better combination?
Microwave mashed potatoes. Do not have time to do something fancy? Stick with something simple and traditional, like mashed potatoes. This recipe will not take long at all, and no one will even notice you only spent 10 minutes making it!
Cranberry sauce. Sometimes, it is all right to just bring a small side dish to the party. Pear-ginger crisps. With a 15-minute cooking time, this recipe is a great fast and easy way to impress all your guests. It takes the hassle and time out of cooking a pie, but looks exactly like one! Just add a scoop of ice cream with it, and you have the perfect Thanksgiving dessert.
Sauteed bananas with cardamom praline sauce. Don’t let the fancy name fool you on this dish. This recipe is far from traditional, but it is also incredibly simple to make. It may not be like the usual cake or pie, but it sure is perfect for impressing your guests with your cooking expertise.
Strawberry shortcake french toast. Everyone will fall in love with this yummy dish and fall at your feet begging for the recipe! Breakfast has always been said to be the most important meal of the day; with this super delicious recipe, there won’t be any denying that fact.
