One of my favorite parts of the holiday season is getting to spend time with my family. It is always exciting when relatives come from out of town to celebrate Christmas and spend quality time with each other. From cooking delicious meals to simply walking around the mall together, there is no one I would rather spend time with than people I love the most: my family.

Inevitably, however, certain questions always come up when the family is together. After talking with my friends and other college students, there are some universal topics that constantly have their grandmas inquisitive. So, here are 9 things every college girl hears from their grandma over the holidays.

1. So, how's school?

It's good, Grandma. It's especially good now that I'm off for a month.

2. What's you major?

4. Do you have any plans for the summer?

Seems a little early for that questions since it's DECEMBER, but as a matter of fact, yes, I got an internship to be a reporter over the summer.

5. So.... Got your eyes on a man?

I mean, there have been a few cute guys but no, not really. I've been super focused on school and my career so I haven't had too much time for all that.

6. You know, back in my day if women didn't get married by 22 they were considered to be old maids.

Well that's pretty unfortunate, Grandma. It's a good thing I'm only 19, then.

7. Because I really can't wait for great-grandchildren.

I'll keep that in mind. That will be quite a party, someday.

8. But you don't need to worry about all that now.

But you just said..... Never mind, I'll take it.

9. It's so nice spending time with you!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
