12 Questions To Ask Yourself Before Taking Back Your Ex
Joel Carter

At some point or another, an ex is going to come crawling back. It happens. Before you fall for the tears, take a look at this list of questions and really evaluate whether giving it a second shot is a good idea.

1. Do you love him?

And I don't mean 6th grade, he gave me a peck on the cheek, love.

2. Does he love you?

Is the feeling mutual, or is it like my love for Jesse McCartney?

3. Does he treat you right?

Meaning does he actually show that he cares instead of just saying it? Does he give you what you need out of a relationship or are you left on read all day?

4. Do your friends like him?

Odds are, the answer is no. You already broke up one time. If your friends don't like them, you're gonna have a hard time. It is what it is.

5. Does your family like him?

If they can't look your parents in the eye, it's probably not a good idea.

6. Are you just lonely?

Do you want them, or do you just want someone?

7. Why did you break up?

Was it time? Distance? Has that factor changed so it will work out this time?

8. How was the breakup?

Did you cry for a week or was it just a pin prick of emotion? Would you be willing to go through it again?

9. Did you stay friends?

Not "I wave when I see him and he looks away like he doesn't know me" friends.

10. What was said post-breakup?

To borrow words from the ever-eloquent Taylor Swift, if he told all his friends you're "obsessive and crazy," it's probably not the best idea.

11. Will you look like an idiot for getting back together with him?

Thanks, Dwight.

12. Have you told your friends to slap you if you think about getting back with him?

Avoid the slap.

Take just a moment and ask yourself the questions above to see if it's really a good idea to get back with him.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
