9 Reasons Priyanka Chopra Wins At Life

Priyanka Chopra is one of the highest-profile, highest-in-demand actresses in India, acclaimed by many to be the queen of Bollywood. However, with her 2013 music debut and starring role as protagonist in ABC's 2015 thriller "Quantico," she's become a rising star in even America and internationally. Here are eight reasons (among many) Priyanka Chopra wins at life.

1. She won Miss World at the age of 18.

Crowned Miss India and Miss World in 2000, Chopra was launched into a career of fame at a very early age — when still a teenager in high school.

2. She has acted in over 40 films, and was the voice behind Ishani, the protagonist of Disney's "Planes."

Priyanka in "Mary Kom", playing Olympic medalist and boxing champion Mary Kom.

3. At the age of 33, she already holds a National Film Award (Indian equivalent of an Oscar) and four Filmfare Awards.

Talk about accomplished.

4. She is a recording artist.

Besides already being beautiful and phenomenal in acting, Chopra can sing. Her first single, "In My City ft. will.i.am," was the NFL's official theme song of the 2013 season and her second single, "Exotic ft. Pitbull," boasts almost 73 million views and debuted at No. 1 in iTunes in India.

5. She became the first South Asian to model for Guess.

Chopra was named the new face of Guess in 2013, making her the first South Asian to model for Guess.

6. She's a humanitarian and women's rights activist.

Can she be any more perfect? Named UNICEF's Goodwill Ambassador for Child's Rights in 2010 and co-launcher of the Girl Rising India campaign alongside actress Freida Pinto, Chopra has been a powerful advocate for women's rights, education and the elimination of female infanticide.

7. She's smart ...

Daughter to two physicians, Chopra aspired to become an engineer or pursue psychology before her pageant wins pushed her into the spotlight. No stranger to writing, Chopra has also served as a columnist for newspapers like Hindustan Times and currently writes for Elle.

8. ... and fashionable.

Crowned India's Best-Dressed Woman of the Year in 2011 by People Magazine, Chopra always flaunts mad style.

9. She is now the star of ABC's record-breaking show, "Quantico."

In September of this year, ABC debuted its crime thriller "Quantico," starring Priyanka Chopra as Alex Parrish, making Chopra the first South Asian to headline an American network series and one of few stars to break through both Bollywood and Hollywood. The show raked in around 7 million views both the first and second weekend it aired, making it the first new drama this fall to grow in rating from its premiere to second-week viewing in adults 18-49.

If Priyanka Chopra isn't the definition of perfect, I'm not sure what is. While the rest of us mortals can only continue to dream of attaining such perfection, stay fab, and continue to rock the world, PC.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
