Life Under Quarantine, As Told By 'Tangled'

We are all basically living the story of Rapunzel.

No one understands our situation better than Rapunzel.

1. “You are not leaving this tower EVER!”

Shoutout to the governors. We get it, we're never leaving our homes ever again.

2. "I know not who you are, nor how I came to find you but may I just say…hi."

When we finally get to see people again, everyone will be excited to talk to anyone and everyone.

3. "This is just part of growing up, a little adventure, a little rebellion."

People who only stand five feet apart instead of six. Those rebels.

4. "Oh well. C'est la vie."

Oh well, I guess we're all stuck inside for now. That's life.

5. “I know I’m safe as long as I’m here.”

No virus is coming into my house. No one comes in, no one goes out. Safe and sound.

6. “And the thing is, I’m not scared anymore.”

Everyone who goes shopping for non-essential items. They are no longer afraid.

7. “When will my life begin?”

No one knows, but I'm sure everyone wonders this every day in quarantine.

8. “Stay calm, it can probably smell fear.”

Don't panic, the media is the only thing you should be afraid of.

9. “Oh, great, now I’m the bad guy.”

This is what parents think when they don't let you go hang out with your friends because you're supposed to be social distancing.

10. “I had a dream once.”

Seniors in high school/college who have been dreaming about walking across that stage to receive their degree at graduation.

11. “Let's just presume for the moment, everyone here doesn't like me.”

Your family has had enough of you and can't wait for you to go back to school.

12. “I can't believe I did this! I can't believe I did this! I have to go home! I am never going back! I'm a horrible daughter!”

How you feel after you snuck out of the house to grab coffee from Starbucks.

13. “How do you manage to do that every single day, without fail? It looks absolutely exhausting, darling.”

Thank you, it is quite difficult to sleep in and then wake up to watch Tik Toks the rest of the day. Not everyone can be this talented.

14. “That's a lot of hair. She's growing it out.”

That's because no one can go to the hair salon or barber and get their haircuts.

15. “You should know that this is the strangest thing I have ever done!”

Wearing a mask and gloves while keeping a six-foot distance from everyone is probably one of the strangest things people have ever done.

16. “Bring back what once was mine. Heal what has been hurt. Change the fates' design. Save what has been lost.”

Bring back our normal lives. Heal those who are ill and let us return to life.

Hey, but even Rapunzel eventually made it out of her tower, so I'm hopeful.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.
