It's that time of your college career when you're able to live off campus and you're trying to get the pros and cons of it. In my opinion the pros outweighs the cons.
5. Get the hang of living on your own.
Living off campus gives you that felling of living on your own. Your are having to learn how to budget money. Paying rent and bills will get you ready for the real world outside of college.
4. Quiet hours.
Living off campus you don't have quiet hours, which means you don't have to be quiet and tun down your T.V. at 10 pm. On the other side of the spectrum, you can have it quiet whenever you want so you don't have to wait till 10 pm to get your homework done because you can't focus because of everyone getting loud.
3. Having college sleepovers.
You have to have girls nights (or guy nights), and how are you supposed to do that with two twin sized beds in a 12'X12' room, or with visiting hours.Living off campus, you can whoever over for as long as you want them over (if your roommate is okay with that). You will never have to miss an opportunity for a hang out night again.
2. You get to choose your roommate.
Living on your own, you get to chose who you live with. You get to choose the person you are compatible with, the person you know you can get along with. You don't have to worry about whether housing is going to put you with some person you will never get along with, that you have nothing in common with, that doesn't keep their side of the room clean, or that you just don't like. You can have someone with the same morals and values as you.
1. HOUSING REFUND!
That room and board refund is AMAZING! That will help you with bills, getting groceries because you no longer have to have a meal plan, those books that are apparently made of gold they are so expensive, and being able to go out and have a good time with friends.
All in all, living off campus is a good learning experience and if it doesn't work out you cna always just move back on campus.
