Having a best friend is great. However, they don't always live in the same city, state or even country as you; this makes friendship a bit more difficult. However difficult they may be, long distance relationships can be just as rewarding, so, without further ado, here are a few pros and cons to having a long distance friendship.
Pro: Your Snapchat streak becomes so impressive that you contemplate putting in on your resume.
Con: Your weekend plans consist mostly of sitting at home and watching TV.

Pro: Any time you get to see your pals it's like friendship on steroids. MUST. MAKE. UP. FOR. LOST. TIME.

Con: Having a friend in a different time zone can be a logistical nightmare.
Pro: You find creative new ways of staying in touch. For example, you start sending each other LinkedIn messages, you have month-long conversations through your twitter bios and you start SENDING HANDWRITTEN LETTERS
Con: You miss out on major milestones like birthdays, job hirings and graduations.

Pro: Anytime you Facetime, you feel like you kind of hung out.
Con: Missing your hype-man in trying moments.

Pro: Becoming a pro at stalking your best friend on social media. "Oh, I saw that you favorited her tweet the other day, care to explain?"

Con: Not being able to share the pain of school or college with your best pal like the good old days.

Pro: You know that no matter what your friend will always be there for you and you guys are always just a simple flight away.
