The 2016 presidential race is shaping up to be an exciting and dramatic one. However, it's a little more important than the flash and glam that America has made the race out to be.This could be the most important race our generation witnesses. America is at a crucial standing point: Our debt limit has reached the ceiling again, terrorists in many shapes and forms have been attacking our country -- both at home and overseas -- and the rest of the world just doesn’t respect us as a world power anymore. The big question facing everyone's minds is do we need another Democrat in the office when Obama has had a less-than-stellar run as president. The Democrats will need to make a strong push if they want the White House. Listed below are the main Democratic candidates.
Hillary Clinton
Who is she?
Wife of Former President Bill Clinton. Formerly Secretary of State, previous Democratic Senator of New York.
Abortion:
Believes life begins at conception, but doesn't believe in defunding Planned Parenthood.
Wants to lower abortion by supporting adoption and foster care.

Believes we need a bankruptcy reform, but different from what we've done before.
Says the economy isn't working for middle-class families.
Civil Rights:
Believes in women's equal rights and pay, as well as equal rights for all ethnicities.
Was a supporter of gay marriage. However, recently said, "I have re-evaluated and changed my mind on gay marriage." Not going to officially say anything, but I believe that means she doesn’t support it.
Drugs:
Believes in medical marijuana; wait-and-see attitude toward recreational use. Believes in making sentences lighter for non-violent drug.
Proudly flaunts Common Core as a Clinton-started project and believes in it.
Wants to teach bible as history and literature instead of science in school.
Foreign Policy:
China is not an ally nor an enemy; it fits in no category.
End Cuban embargo, begin relations with Castro.
ISIS is more organized and well funded than Al-Qaeda.
Immigration:
Believes in birthright citizenship.
Focus on reform, not driver's licenses.
Give all illegals driver's licenses until we get immigration reform.
Free Trade:
Wants the Trans-Pacific Partnership and believes it must create jobs, lift wages, and protect security between Japan and China.
Likelihood of Winning Nomination: 40/100
Although Hillary came out incredibly strong with her initial polls, the Benghazi incident and the email server fiasco leave not much to be trusted from Hillary, therefore hurting her chances at the Democratic nomination.
Bernie Sanders
Who is he?
A junior Senator from Vermont
Abortion:
Lifetime pro-choice and all for funding of Planned Parenthood.
Also for government-funded contraceptives.

Civil Rights:
All for no racism, sexism, and homophobia.
Supports LGBT rights and believes federal government should enforce all equal rights, including equal pay.
Drugs:
War on drugs is a failed policy.
Decriminalization of marijuana and for recreational legalization.
End border patrol for war on drugs.
Education:
Agrees with Common Core, minus the fact he wants to end standardized testing.
Foreign Policy:
Normalize relations with Cuba and recognize its independence.
Promote democracy in China, but not at the expense of U.S. workers.
Two-state solution of Israel and Palestine conflict.

Provide streamlined legalization for DREAMers and students.
Free Trade:
Believes free trade has done nothing but cost American jobs and money.
Likelihood of Winning Nomination: 60/100
He's as far left as you can get and is a favorite among Democrats. There isn't much to say because he's a straightforward Democrat, and he will probably win the nomination, provided there isn't another man that throws his (or her) hat in.
