"Oy with the poodles already," because we are all about to be Gilmored again! Netflix has announced that our favorite mother-daughter, coffee-addicted, Stars Hollow-living Gilmore girls are coming back into our lives.
Now, before I continue this article, I need to address all those who have never seen "Gilmore Girls." If you fall into that category of people, then I need you to log on to Netflix right now and start with the pilot, because you are seriously missing out.
To all those who have seen the show, congratulations, you may continue reading. I mean, if you haven't, you can still keep reading, but this list of things I need to happen in the "Gilmore Girls" revival might not make much sense to you.
The decision is completely yours, but you only have a few more seconds to decide because here we go!
1. Friday-night dinners
Friday-night dinners were a pivotal part of the show. I personally lived for Friday-night dinner scenes because they were always so eventful. I mean, one minute everyone is making simple conversation, and the next people are shooting daggers into others with their eyes. It was always dinner and a show!
2. Mr. and Mrs. Paris Geller
We all know that Paris would insist that Doyle took her last name. If these two are not married in the revival, then I might cry. I also need them to have a few kids.
3. Sookie the "Chopped" Champion
If Melissa McCarthy does not make an appearance in the revival, then I vote that it be written in that she won the show "Chopped" and went on to be a celebrity chef on Food Network.
4. The Richard Gilmore Building
My heart breaks over the fact that Richard Gilmore will be deceased when the Gilmores return. He was the heartbeat of that family. He was also a very proud alum of Yale. His reaction when Rory told him that she was going there was the sweetest thing ever! He gave so much to that school that really they should rename it to Gilmore, but that isn't going to happen. As long as they name a building after him, I will be content.
5. The Great Fight
I want to watch all three of Rory's guys fight for her! Personally, I'm Team Logan, but that might change with the revival.
6. Rory the Journalist
When we left Rory, she was just beginning her journalism career. I hope that she is now working for a very successful paper like the New York Times or the Wall Street Journal.
7. A Hep Alien album
I know they are a "fictional" band, but they are actually great musicians in real life!
8. Luke and Lorelai Danes
Please, please let them be married!
9. Lorelai and Emily to finally say those three little words.
We all know they love each other. I mean, just look at this GIF! I need them to one time say it.
I truly hope that we get all these things! I guess we will just have to wait and see. Until then, we should all re-watch "Gilmore Girls" seasons 1-7 on Netflix so that we can be prepared to be Gilmored all over again when the revival finally premieres!
