What Is Poshmark?

Coach, Michael Kors, and Ray-Bans are all hot name-brand items every girl loves! However, the cost of that cute Coach purse is way too expensive, especially for a college student to afford. Luckily, there is an awesome website that most people do not know about: Poshmark.

Poshmark is a website created for those who cannot afford to purchase brand new designer items. It is a site that people can buy, trade, or sell their named brand items for next to nothing! They also have an app that can be used for easy access on your phone. You can find Ugg boots for $50, Michael Kors bags for $80, and tons of other gently used items! It's a great website and very safe.

You type in the item you want and scroll through pictures of tons of different styles and colors until you fall in love. You are able to "heart" items to save to your likes so you can get updates. If a price lowers, you will get an update on your hearted item and you can also see if anything you had your eye on has sold. You are able to comment on posts and talk to the seller so if you have any questions, they can be answered. Then, you are able to offer an amount or buy right away for the price posted. Once your offer is accepted, the seller then ships the product. But do not worry, there is a safe system to make sure everyone gets paid and receives their items.

Once you buy an item, your money is taken out of your account and Poshmark holds the money. It is a little over five dollars for shipping that the buyer pays for. However, sometimes the seller will offer to pay for shipping. The shipping is tracked and is priority mail. Then, once the buyer receives their item, they click "received" and the money is released to the seller.

The money is then added to your Poshmark account that can be used for purchasing items on Poshmark or you can have it transferred to your personal bank account. If you have any issues, there are many ways to contact Poshmark to get things corrected.

Poshmark does take a percent of the money you earn, but not a huge amount: $2 on a profit less than $20 and about 18 percent on anything higher. It is a great way to make money, too. You do not have to sell name brand items. Clothes, shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, purses, and so much more can be bought or sold through Poshmark.

It is a hidden gem that most college kids and others do not know about, but should! Make money and buy cute, designer items for less. New and unique items are added each day! But do not wait too long, because someone might buy what you want.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
