The 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia has thrown everyone off guard more times than Neymar has thrown himself on the ground. Fans from around the world have been shocked to see many things such as watching 2014 World Cup Champion Germany lose their first game to Mexico, Messi who is considered the World's Best Player missed a penalty shot, and Russia gave a shocking performance in their first game after leaving the score against Saudi Arabia to be 5-0. Brackets everywhere are in the trash because their predictions are not adding up with all the surprises being given in each game.

However recently through social media, especially Twitter, a clip from Season 9, Episode 5 of the Simpsons has been trending. In the episode, the World Cup final is between Mexico and Portugal. No one knows what to expect the final to be, but the Simpsons have been good at predicting some life-changing moments. Such as in Season 11, Episode 17: Bart to the Future in 2000 when they predicted Trump winning the presidency and then sixteen years later it became real life. Bart had seen the future in which Lisa is president and it is mentioned that they have "inherited quite a budget crunch from President Trump." Or when in Season 10, Episode 5: When You Dish Upon A Star in 1998 when there is a scene in which the sign of 20th Century Fox has at the bottom "A Division of Walt Disney Co." Then nineteen years later Disney reached a deal to acquire $66.1 billion-worth of Fox. Coincidence? Maybe yes or maybe no, but it was enough proof to have people in their seats to believe that maybe they have predicted a World Cup Final.

Sadly the prediction is set wrong as of noon on June 27th in year twenty eighteen. Poor Mexico broke their winning streak after playing Sweden today. The final score was 0-3 with Sweden being the grand winner of the game and Group F of the World Cup. If Mexico had beaten Sweden the outcome would have been different since they would have been first in the group, therefore increasing the probability that the Simpsons can predict the future.

Do not lose hope though! Because the World Cup Final prediction could be set for 2026 which will be in North America. If you look more into the Simpson's episode the final game is set in Springfield which is an "any town" in the United States. There have already been rumors that the World Cup final will be in MetLife Stadium which is located in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Mexico will be one of the countries to host the World Cup so to see them at the final is not completely unrealistic and Portugal's player Cristiano Rolando will be 41 years old, so 2026 could possibly be his last World Cup. So this prediction still has a possibility of coming true, we will just have to check back on it in eight years. But for 2018, what country could possibly be the FIFA World Cup Champion?

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
