Love at First Sight

Love is never an instantaneous feeling.

Love at first sight is a false sense of security,

A false sense of hope, reality,

An idea that causes people to seemingly

Fall in Love.

But falling in love is not as simple as looking into one's eyes for the first time,

Seeing the immediate twinkle, the rich depth of their eyes, the way that they seem to just

Smile..

One seems to melt, feeling as if their new lover's eyes tell the story they've always thought,

They fill in the gaps, the holes they always knew were missing,

They hold the key to the glory, the richness, the enjoyment of love and commitment!

But that is because they show one's own reflection in them,

One does not see the other in their eyes, rather, themselves.

Most believe that the first glance is the most important,

It shares a story,

A story words often times refuse to tell.

But does that not mean there is darkness hiding in the lightness in their eyes?

Love at first sight is not truly love,

It is simply the idea of love,

The fact that someone seems to recognize what one has wanted all along,

When in truth,

It is anything but.
