One of my classmates was talking about an app that gave you points whenever you locked you phone during class. The points are used to redeem coupons on restaurants around Huntsville and you can get free stuff just for locking your phone in class.
The whole concept of the app is designed around students who don't pay attention during class and are often texting or on Facebook (which i'm guilty of). This problem shouldn't even be happening but as we become more media dependent, people have come up with ingenious methods on how to catch our attention.
The app has five categories in which you can choose to use your points: Online, Local, New, Staff Picks and Nearby. Participating restaurants in Huntsville include IHOP, Yummy Yummy, Church's Chicken, Denny's, Golden Corral, Mama Juanita's, 3 Spoons, Farmhouse Café, and Pita Pit.
All of the restaurant's offer free food if you decide to redeem your points there and they also have BOGO's.
The app is a great idea because all of us love free stuff, especially free food. Download the app and lock up your phone during class (it's only one hour or so) and start getting points so that you can redeem them and get free food!
The more people that have the app and use it, the more points we get. The app is available at the App Store and Android users can also use the app. Simply set your location to SHSU and lock your phone!
