Your Pledge Class GroupMe As Explained By The Fairly OddParents

Being in a sorority definitely has its upsides, one of the best being the fact that you now get to experience life with 40 or so of your best friends by your side: your pledge class. As we continue to trudge on through the dreary months of summer, our pledge class GroupMes become increasingly integral parts of daily life. Whether you leave your notifications on and check it obsessively, or you mindlessly scroll through the hundreds of messages you missed during your commute to work, there is something indescribably special about your pledge class, so thank goodness you have an overly active GroupMe to remind you. While each pledge class is comprised of different people (duh), the experiences you encounter in your pledge class GroupMe are surprisingly finite, and nobody can explain this phenomenon better than Cosmo and Wanda.

When someone recalls a funny memory and you follow up, but it gets zero likes.

When your non-pledge class friends see your phone constantly blowing up and think you're popular.

When your best friend memes and sends an ugly picture of you completely out of the blue.

When two people have a full-on discussion that is completely unrelated to anyone else.

When it's the day before formal.

When someone you weren't that close with before "likes" every single thing you say.

When you think someone is making a joke and you say "lol" but they were actually serious.

When you wake up after a long night out with a dozen messages asking if everyone is still alive.

When you find a perfect reaction GIF and are able to send it before someone else sends another message.

When someone asks you to send a picture of what you're wearing to the event tonight and you do it but nobody replies.

When someone says "tbt to when (insert embarrassing thing you did)" and it gets more than 20 likes in five minutes.

When you should be doing something valuable with your time but you're too busy catching up on old messages.

When someone asks if everyone will like their Instagram.

When you receive the "I miss you guys!!!!" message at least once a week over the summer.

When you realize how great all of your friends are, and as annoying as your PC GroupMe may be, you're extremely appreciative to have such a perfect pledge class.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
