It makes your relationship so much more fun

Always Keep It Playful

It sounds childish and silly. Some people say that it it immature, but it's really not. When your significant other and you got together, in some way or another you used to goof around and laugh and do silly things. It's okay that when you get deeper into your relationships and you've been together a while, you sometimes lose that playfulness. Sometimes you forget all of those silly things that you used to do and you fall into a routine. Routines are totally okay, but you should always try to keep things playful in when you can.

Relationships don't have to always be a routine and become mundane. You love your significant other with your whole heart and things should always be fun between you two! Now, this doesn't mean that you need to play games with each other in the sense of messing with your relationship, but finding some fun ways to keep your serious relationship a little lighter in some ways can help relieve the stress that serious relationships can sometimes have.

Try finding a fun thing to do throughout the week like planning a date night or an adventure to break a routine. Plan a fun dinner out at a new restaurant or grab some sandwiches and drive to a scenic spot and eat in your car to shake some things up. It doesn't have to be just a meal, it can be an adventure. If you have a Saturday or Sunday free, you can plan a hike or to go see a movie or even try something you wouldn't usually do, like an Escape Room or go ice skating. It can be something simple like cooking a new recipe together or even just ordering from a new restaurant to try something that you wouldn't usually.

Don't forget to laugh together. Make sure you remember the stupid, silly things you did together when you started dating like have watergun fights or watch a show you both loved that make you laugh. When things get boring bring back those memories to be able to keep things lighter. Don't forget that everyone still has a little bit of a child in them so whether it's something bigger like going to Disney World or something small like seeing a funny movie, it's okay to be vulnerable and remember those silly little things that helped to make you two fall in love.

Keep your relationship fun and playful. Life can be so serious and so draining and it always makes it a little easier when you and your partner can remember to not only laugh at life but laugh together. It might sound silly and immature, but don't forget to always have fun. Relationships have so many serious things that happen in them, but every now and then you need to remember to laugh and have a little fun.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
