If you’re anything like me, you have probably dreamed of travelling to beautiful places around the world, and then immediately felt frustrated by lack of time and/or money. Still, whether or not we visit these places, it’s worth knowing the fantastical beauty that exists on our planet. Here are some of the most breathtaking, and often little known, places to put on your bucket list.

Petra, Jordan
Referred to as the “lost city,” Petra was once the capital of the Nabataean empire between 400 B.C. and A.D. 106. The monastery of Petra was carved directly into the sandstone hills, and its entrance is where thousands of visitors go to stand every year.

Nicknamed "The Sky Bridge," it is the longest suspension bridge in Norway, and is even longer than the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
