Pixar Fest Is Happening, And You Need To Go NOW!

No matter how great and inspiring Disney is, its parks always get happier. Disneyland Resort and California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California started a new festival called “Pixar Fest” in April 2018. Pixar Fest is a Pixar-themed festival that is roaming around both parks with decoration, music from Pixar films, cool new treats, unique characters, and more.

I’ve attended this festival twice so far and thought I would share how magical the whole experience is. This fun party will be going on until September 2018, therefore we have all summer to enjoy as much as we can.

There are two companies: Disney and Pixar. Although people believe they are the same due to it both being in a Disney business, the Pixar Company is such a different system compared to our "Happily ever after" princess movies. Pixar has been creating movies since anyone can remember.

They’ve made great films such as "Toy Story," "Monsters Inc.," "Cars," "Up," "Brave," "The Incredibles," and more. The bonus to these films come with a movie short that we usually watch before the main film in our theatres such as Lava, La Luna, Piper, For The Birds, Geri’s Game, and more.

During my time at the parks, I’ve witnessed the “Short Film Collections” in Hollywood Land that plays three famous Pixar shorts in their theatre. Every month they switch out their short films for new ones and even the classics. Another cool add-on is the "Pixar Pals" area by Goofy’s Fly School ride where you get to meet Pixar characters such as Sully, Mike Wazowski, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Mr. & Mrs. Incredible, and more. Meeting the characters is always the best part of the trip. Each character has its own outgoing personality and always find a way to bring a smile to your face.

My favorite part is the food. Yes, the FOOD! There are so many new and improved treats and souvenir buckets/cups. Foodwise, there are many options all around the park that carry delicious treats such as Pixar Cake-Pops, Alien macarons, Up Pop-Tarts, Sully’s Grape Slush, and flavored Churros.

The churros are my favorite part because there are several different flavored churros that go around the Disney churro carts. Its delicious flavors are Carrot cake, Lemon, Strawberry, Coco, and its original churro flavor. With all this greatness, it gets better. Because of Pixar Fest, there’s Sully Popcorn buckets, Mike Wazowski Souvenir Cups, Alien PopCorn Buckets (for Annual Passholders only), and more!

Lastly, once you’ve tried every ride, seen every character, caught every show, and have finally yearned for a break… the best ‘break time’ options are the Pixar Parade hosted on Main Street at Disneyland, and the fireworks show “Together Forever," also hosted on Main Street and by Tom Sawyer’s Island, which shares all Pixar favorites that display a happy, positive, inspiring, and magical memory of the entire day. Pixar fest is absolutely a great experience to encounter and I would highly recommend checking it out!

Xoxo,

Princess J

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
