Calling all Pinterest users. It's time for you to get the credit you deserve. The thing about Pinterest users is they really don't care about who sees their re-pinning, searches, or favorites. Pinners pin purely for self-fulfilling enjoyment.
We live in a time where social media dominates. A time where "doing it for the gram" is the only reason some people think things are worth doing at all. Pinterest people don't pin for the ratio, or reblog for the enjoyment of other people. Pinning doesn't require validation or approval. If Pinterest is your main social media platform, the chances of you being a pretty satisfied, happy human being is much higher than one who uses other platforms more.
For those of you who aren't familiar with Pinterest, here's how it goes:
1. You type in something you are looking for further information on in the Pinterest search bar.
Examples: "Recipe for paleo banana bread," "Best spots in Barcelona," "DIY jersey making," "The ultimate college grocery shopping list," or even something as important as "Get a good summer butt."
So let's go with Barcelona.
2. Suddenly, your screen is flooded with several options of exactly what you're looking for. Each "pin" is linked to an external website outside of Pinterest that is totally relevant to what you're searching.
Example: (Best spots to travel in Barcelona)
3. After clicking several pins and obtaining the maximum amount of information on the topic you're searching, if you find one that really piques your interest and you want to add it to your boards, you click the corner "save" button where it can now be accessed at any time. I want to make one thing clear, Pinterest is commonly misconstrued as a "chick site." Make no mistake boys, Pinterest powers expand far beyond the horizons of your best girl friend planning her future wedding. There are sports, inspirational manly quotes, and recipes that chances are will help you woo a chick who uses this so-called "chick site." Just sayin'.On a real note, Pinterest inspires and promotes goals, collaboration, going after what you want and achieving it. Hats off to Pinterest users for being the real MVPs of social media.
