We've all seen the numerous beauty hacks on Pinterest and wondered if any of them actually work. Well, today's your lucky day. I decided to test out six beauty hacks and share my results with you. Some of these hacks I loved and will definitely continue to use, while others I wasn't really a fan of. Check out the truth behind these Pinterest beauty hacks below.

Coconut Oil Makeup Remover

Approved!

I was pleasantly surprised when this hack worked so well. My makeup comes off so easily with this remover it's amazing. I noticed it worked especially well with getting my mascara off. It really leaves nothing behind. The one fault I have with this hack is I noticed that my skin started to break out. I tend to have dry skin so if you are someone who has more oily skin I would not recommend this hack.

Mascara Clump Prevention

Fail!

This hack did nothing for me. I tried it for a few days, but I noticed no difference in how my mascara went on. Skip this one, it's not worth your time.

Clean Manicure

Maybe?

I'm still not sure how I feel about this hack. Yes, it does work well to keep nail polish off your skin, but it takes a bit for the glue to dry, and if you don't put enough around your nails it will still get on your skin. If you have the time and are a perfectionist I'd say go for it, otherwise I'm not convinced it's worth the effort.

Smooth Nail Polish Application

Fail!

Again, this hack did nothing for me. I noticed zero difference in how my nail polish went on. I would say don't waste your time, and just go right ahead and paint your nails.

Drying Makeup Brushes

Approved!

I love this trick. I used to clean my brushes and keep them on a towel next to my sink. They took up space and took too long to dry. By hanging my brushes, I've found that they dry faster, and hold their shape a lot nicer. I highly recommend this hack.

Hot Glue Clipboard Brush Cleaner

Approved!

This is another favorite of mine. I had an extra clipboard laying around my house so this cost me no money to make. If you don't have a clipboard at home, no worries. The dollar store is a great place to get one cheap. This is also super simple to make. All you have to do is make different patterns along your clipboard with a hot glue gun and voila, you've got yourself the perfect brush cleaner. I've found that this trick really gets my brushes clean, as well as saves me time. I absolutely suggest that you check this out!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
