If you're an introvert like me, you know how annoying it is always getting asked the same questions from people who don't understand us. For those who don't know what an introvert is, here's a simple description for you. An introvert is a person who regains energy from being alone. They're not ones for crowded rooms or big parties and spending time with people tends to drain them of their energy.

Because of this though, people typically see us as snobs or try to get us to change our ways by insisting that it's no big deal and if we just learned to open up more it would go away. There are many misconceptions about being an introvert mainly due to the fact that we need to have time alone. Which is why I wanted to list 12 phrases that we introverts just love to hear from clueless people all the time who don't take the time to understand us.

1. "Let's go around the room and introduce ourselves"

I can already feel my stomach dropping at the thought of this.

2. "How 'bout this weather?"

Two words: small talk. One word: no.

3. "There will be a lot of people"

Me to myself, "Now, how am I going to get out of this again?"

4. "I'll call you"

Literally me at my phone waiting until you call me.

5. "Tell me about yourself"

Sorry, my brain momentarily turned off and at this moment I'm unable to answer this horrible question that's going to set me up for a spiraling panic attack.

6. "I invited some people over last minute, I hope that's ok"

Well, seeing as the thought of having to try to be entertaining towards one person is a lot of work for me, let's bring in some more. Sure!

7. "Find a partner, we're doing group projects"

This was half of the reason why I hated school.

8. "Your grade in this class will be based on your participation"

This was the other half.

9. "No, I'm not ready to leave yet. This is fun!"

@ all our friends who don't understand how we function, especially when they drag us to parties.

10. "The internet is down"

So, you're saying I can't use my phone to distract myself from everything and I actually have to.....interact?

11. Everyone you know, from your living room: "Surprise!"

Oh wow! Everyone from family and friends are right here is this room that feels awfully tiny now and they're throwing a party for me that I didn't know about at all. Gee thanks!

12. *Unexpected doorbell rings*

Dear god, please let them go away and not make me have to answer the door.
