A few years ago, I ventured down south to do some shooting in Charleston. The Carolinas offer some really interesting and diverse content. Plus, swimming in the ocean is a real bonus, so what's not to love? Anyway, stay tuned for some of my shots on the East Coast. It probably seems like I'm partial to the West Coast, but the east has a lot to offer too. (I just miss LA too much)
This image has some weaknesses, but I really like the shot overall. There's some distortion in the lens (this was back when I only had a kit lens 18-55mm) but I found when I corrected it in post, I actually really preferred the bowed shot. Black and White for architecture and texture can be very powerful.
Below, I liked the saturation levels as I crossed this bridge to the beach. The shot is framed really nicely as well though shooting in a
moving vehicle is always a challenge.
These colorful buildings are really nice to shoot altogether — I hope to go back with some saturated film stock to shoot again.
Ah, yes. A classic beach picture. Golden hour.
