Coming home after months of being away is easily the best feeling in the world. You finally get to spend time away from campus and not have to worry about that ten page paper or if the showers are all taken. There are so many reasons why coming home is one of the best things in the world, but here are just a few.
1. You do not have to FaceTime your mom to see your dogs. All thats needed is a pair of eyes to see your not-so empty lap or a a voice loud enough to call their precious names your way.
2. Not having to wait in a line of ten girls to take a shower or worry about waiting for the big shower to shave your legs. At home there may still be a wait, but it's decreased quite a bit.
3. Speaking of showers you do not need to wonder if the hot water is working today or not. At home there is an endless supply of hot water that is waiting to be used by you.
4. You will not have to worry about the smell of marijuana 24/7 unless you are in to that kind of stuff.
5. You can stay up as late as you want and not have to think about if you will be on time for your 7:45 lecture. No more lectures for the next few weeks thankfully.
6. You do not have to worry about waking your roommate up if you randomly get hungry at 4am. At home your kitchen is away from the bedrooms so chances are you will not wake anyone up.
7. Thankfully you will not be broke all the dang time. You will not have to worry if you are going to have enough money to feed you, fill up your car, and save some for a rainy day at home.
8. Chances are over break Santa might bring you some new goodies. You can replace everything that was broken the previous semester and buy all the new things you might need and or want for next semester.
9. No need to worry about quite hours at home, I mean you will want to be quite with your parents are sleeping but other than that you can be as loud as you want when you want without worrying about what others might say. AKA security or your RA
10. After months of being away you get to spend quality time with your parents. You do not need to worry about rushing home Sunday mid day to make it in time for chapter. You can lounge all day with your parents and fill them in on all the little details you forgot to tell them during your rushed visits home.
Sadly break as to end sometime. I mean it is called a break. My advice would be to savor every moment at home because before you know it, it will be your last Sunday home and you are going to wish for another month long break.
