Loving them unconditionally is so easy.

When You're An Aunt, These 5 Things Are Undeniable

One of the best opportunities I have had so far in my life is becoming an aunt.

Being an aunt has taught me so many things about myself. But the number one thing is how much love I can give to this tiny human being. It is crazy when you actually think about it.

I became an aunt when I was about ten and I did not truly understand how cool it was. As I got older, I started to understand how cool it actually is to be an aunt. Now with many years of being an aunt under my belt, I can say that this is one of my favorite things that has happened in my life.

Going away to college has made me realize the time I spend with all my nieces and nephews is important. Just being able to spend time with them or even see their faces makes my day better. I savor every belly laugh (let me tell you the belly laughs are the BEST) and every moment I spend with them.

Just like with everything in life being an aunt comes with perks:

1. You get to spoil your niece/nephew.

Shopping just got a whole lot better. You can spoil them and not feel guilty about it because you are their aunt. And the best part is you can do it whenever and not just because its a birthday or holiday. See a cute outfit? Buy it. See a toy you think they need? Get it.

2. You get to cuddle them.

You get a personal cuddle buddy for nap time that's just as cute and cuddly. Imagine all the sleepy baby cuddles and all the nap time cuddles. What can get better than that? Nothing that's what.

3. You get to be a kid again!

From Nerf guns to Barbies, being an aunt gives you the chance to relive your childhood. You get to play with all the toys you did as a kid. Not to mention, you get to watch all the old movies and TV shows that you did way back when.

4. You have a permanent photo buddy.

From Snapchats to random photos, I can't tell you how many pictures you can take with them. My camera roll is currently littered with pictures of me and my nieces and nephews and that'll never change. Pictures like the one above are some of my favorites to look back at because how can you not smile at how cute your nephew is.

5. You get their unconditional love.

My nieces and nephews have a way of making me smile no matter how I'm feeling. All they have to do is look at me and smile and I melt but how can you blame me when you have a chubby baby looking back at you with the biggest smile.

These are only a few of the perks of being an aunt and I hope if you get the chance to be one, you enjoy it as much as I do because being apart of their lives is a true gift.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
