People We Wish Were Running for President

The people/characters, you'd much rather be voting for.

People We Wish Were Running for President

In the midst of all the candidacy announcements, when you take a step back and look at the options for 2018, its just depressing regardless of what party you side with. So it got me thinking, who would I rather be voting for?

1. Steph Curry

Despite Obama's attempts to establish the White House on the court, he hasn't done enough. Personally, I blame it on the fact that he still tries to play in sweatpants which are clearly slowing him down.

Get it together Barack, you are indoors. There is no need to keep your legs that warm, we all know you aren't gonna get more than a few inches off the ground. Seriously the man never wears shorts, it's weird. On top of this, Steph would have his daughter, Riley Curry, as his press secretary, which would quite possibly be the cutest thing in the history of the world. With Steph, we'd have the best shooter on the planet calling the shots, and personally I wouldn't mind seeing him break Putin's ankles with a dirty crossover.

2. Beyoncé

If you are like the majority of Americans, you are going to vote based on race and gender rather than the candidate's actual platform, which makes Beyoncé a force to be reckoned with in the polls. Not only is she a genetic dual threat, she's also brings Jay-Z and Blue Ivy into DC which means people might actually pay attention to the White House instead of trying to keep up with the Kardashians.

Seriously though, she would kick ass as president. With Destiny's Child as her cabinet and Jigga by her side, nothing would be able to stop Queen B from launching America straight to the top, making it rain glitter across this great nation, and finally proving that girls really do run the world.

3. Tyrion Lannister

Honestly, it baffles me how oppressive this country is towards little people. I mean if a cop shot a midget would that be all over the media? Huh? Would it? He is just trying to do his job!

It's about time we had a little person in the oval office; it's 2015 for god's sake. So what if we have to stack a few phonebooks on the chair? It has been too long since the days of L.B.J., where the president was a highly functioning alcoholic. There is no one better to continue this long held tradition than "The Imp" himself, who, despite his size, never lets life get in the way of his drinking.

With his quick wits and undeniable talent for navigating politics, Tyrion and his facial scars would make for the best president since the legendary Richard Nixon himself. He is constantly underestimated by those around him and if he were able to continue to overcome unlikely odds, he could work wonders for this country. After all, "Lannisters always pay their debts" and with the US debt at 16 trillion and counting there is no one better for the job.

4. Frank Underwood

If you don't know why he should be president, please join the rest of us and put your life on hold to binge watch the shit out of House of Cards. Some people might call you irresponsible or lazy, but just blackmail them into submission and then [SPOILER ALERT] shove them in front of a moving subway. Problem solved.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
