The silence of dead week is ominous. Reality has finally sunk in, and suddenly college isn't so much fun anymore. All of the assignments, projects and papers pile up into a giant mountain of work that make you want to go take a nap. We all know what dead week feels like, that last week before the dreaded finals begin to take place. It's the week where procrastination rules, and people begin to tweet about being exhausted or how much coffee they're drinking. During this week, there are different types of people we meet. Here are some you might run into as you go down the hallways and eat in the cafeteria.
1. The One Crying In The Hallway
There's always that girl that is sitting outside of the classroom crying, because it's all just too much.
2. The One With The Blank Stare
With no backpack or notebook, he's just staring bleakly at the wall, questioning all of his life choices and wondering where to go from here.
3. The One Who Suddenly Talks to You
"Can you send me your notes from the entire semester?"
4. The One Who Loves To Complain
They love nothing more than to tell you how miserable they are and how much stuff they have to do next week.
5. The One Who Doesn't Shower
We all know there isn't time to shower during finals week. Some people start in dead week too, now that's too much.
6. The One Who Isn't Stressed
We all hate these people.
7. The One Who Parties Like Finals Week Isn't Here
It's like procrastination on steroids.
8. The One Who Obsessively Drinks Coffee
They make sure you know how much coffee they drink too.9. The One Professor Who Is Over It
This is their face when yet another student asks them when the final is and if they can have extra credit.10. The One Who Watches Netflix
"Friends" and "The Walking Dead" just mean that much more to them. It's an addiction.11. The One Who Can't Stop Eating
Sure, another Snickers bar will make it all better.12. The One Who Pretends
They know their life is about to crash around them, but they are just fine.13. The One Professor Who Is Too Happy
Please, at least try to pretend you feel sorry for us.14. The One Who Gets Serious
We all wish we could be this person. You are our hero.
