The best feeling is when you do well on a test/assignment that you knew you failed.

How Your Semester Went From 'I'm Gonna Work Until I'm 100' To 'Treat Yo' Self,' As Told By ‘Parks & Rec’

The beginning of the semester is always that special time where you have so much energy and so many good intentions. The end of the semester is always that special time where you get no sleep and live off of coffee.

Beginning: Working really hard every single day

Giphy

You are so on top of all of your work.

End: Calculating what you need on your final to pass the class

Giphy

Because it's the end of the semester and you are burned out.

Beginning: Having really awesome notes

Giphy

They are the best notes ever. Give yourself a pat on the back.

End: Your notes are just smudges

Giphy

And when you get to the test, well... you don't remember ever seeing anything.

Beginning: Getting so much sleep

Giphy

So much time for napping.

End: Five hours of sleep is now a full nights rest

Giphy

Sleep is for the weak.

Beginning: Always doing your work early

Giphy

And you never have to worry about two things. Only one.

End: Rewarding yourself constantly

Giphy

But hey at least your work gets done.

Beginning: Looking nice every day and getting to class 15 minutes early

Giphy

It takes a little while for you to get used to dressing up every day.

End: Rolling out of bed 10 minutes before class after a nap

Giphy

What day is it? What time is it?

Beginning: Diligently paying attention in lectures

Giphy

You are so excited to learn so many cool things.

End: Texting your friends in class

Giphy

Honestly, you need lots of reassurances by the end of the year.

Beginning: Always being prepared early

Giphy

If you need help, you are able to ask like a week before you really need the help.

End: Cramming

Giphy

You think you would have learned, but getting three hours of studying before the exam is fine, right?

Beginning: No TV until you finish your work

Giphy

Although let's be real, you really want to watch something.

End: Falling asleep as you Binge watch a show

Without ever having so much as one glance at your homework.

Beginning: You're happy to be back at school

Giphy

Let's GO!

End: Being extra in the holiday spirit

Giphy

Because of NO MORE SCHOOL!

Beginning: Being so motivated

Giphy

Because this semester is going to be amazing!

End: You feel like giving up

Giphy

But in the end, you realize that so many hours of work only accounts for just a small amount of production. Ben's claymation video was a lot shorter than he expected.

Just remember that you are always that much closer to graduating AND C's get degrees.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.

If you’re anything like me, you love a good cup of coffee. My coffee always comes from Starbucks; I refuse to drink it from anywhere else. Over the years, it’s become one of my biggest addictions. College involves a whirlwind of emotions, whether it’s from the stress of an assignment (or twenty), or from fighting with your roommate.
