Paris (and Europe) is one of the most popular destinations for college students studying abroad. The plethora of cultures only a train ride away is what many students look for.
But following the terrorist attacks on Paris, many students are looking at other options.
"My dream study abroad destination has always been Greece," said Jessica Sanchez, a sophomore at Towson University. "But following the attacks, my parents are a little afraid of me going there. And honestly, I'm kind of scared too."
Sanchez isn't alone. The attacks, which affected the lives of many students in Paris, has caused many students to consider other options.
"I'm definitely still going to study abroad." said Mike Ryan, a junior. "I'm just re-considering the location."
The U.S. Department of State recently issued travel warning for students studying abroad, not only in Europe but also places such as Australia.
As the situation continues to unfold, students are wary but hopeful of their travel plans.
" Traveling is something I'm going to do no matter what," Sanchez said. "I just need to make sure I'm safe while I do it."
