You awake charged and ready to battle the world, the pen moves effortlessly as you craft your next move or draft out your route to greatness. Picture an empire of creativity, a structure so to speak, of pure unadulterated talent. A ColleXion so to speak (wink wink) where you begin build and persevere through every trial and tribulation thrown in your way. For me personally, coming from a person working toward their dreams, making the strive to ensure it becomes a reality is important.
Clasped tight in hand is your paint brush or pen. Now make it happen. Thinking can be done from ages to eons, but to actually take the chance at feeling something much greater to propel yourself to the position you desire. Being an Alfred Hitchcock fan, I found myself watching any film of his that I could get my hands on, and one day I came in contact with "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (1956). While watching this movie, I promise you, you'll be whisked away by the enchanting voice of Doris Day as she sings "Que Sera Sera." What does this have to do with what I'm talking about? Hold your horses for a second, and you'll see. In this very wondrous song she sings,
"Que Sera Sera, Whatever will be, will be.
The future's not ours to see, Que Sera Sera."
And while I find myself agreeing with those words, I accept the fact that I contradict myself in stating that I, myself, am in control of where I go next. You can't wait for greatness to touch you. You have to look at where you are now and acknowledge the feeling in your bones that you want to go further, because that's when you know you want it. Don't just dream - build. I've clutched tightly to the pen and haven't looked back.
It's easier to back away and develop hundreds, maybe even thousands of excuses for why you can't, but honestly all it takes is effort to make a difference. Feel it in your left chest and get ready to ascend yourself to heights you've only dreamt about. Take it, it's yours, if you have something to say, stand up and say it. Don't put your paintbrush down, don't put the pen down. Instead, hold it tighter than ever before and let the world know that you are ready to die for your art. Give It all you got, and even if you don't make it, get up and get ready or the next round. Those who don't board the ship travel their own route, those who do have made the step to ensure their mark is left on the world. The question is, which one are you?
"Picture perfect, I paint a perfect picture."
