The best (and sometimes the worst part) of the holiday season are the public outings. You're often forced to see family and friends that you haven't crossed paths with in ages. I want to make sure that these events are the best experiences possible for you, regardless of the inevitably awkward circumstances. Here's a couple outfits that I put together for a couple different occasions so you can be fashionable, comfortable, and confident enough to embark on all the socializing adventures.
1. The Casual Family Holiday Party/Dinner
The first thought of your mind is probably going to be how fast you can eat that Holiday ham, but here's a no-brainer outfit that'll keep you cute and comfortable enough to eat as much of that incredible holiday food as possible. This long sleeve baby doll dress is loose enough so you won't be constricted and you can have as much fun as possible with the family. The tights and cozy socks combination will keep you as warm as possible during any random family outings (like that impromptu trip to Wal-Mart with your aunt because she didn't buy enough pumpkin pies for everyone to get a slice). These little brown booties from Forever 21 are fancy enough for you distant cousin to ask where you got them from, but not uncomfortable to the point where by 8PM you're barefoot. And, all the adorable silver accessories and brown cross body bag bring this outfit together. It all looks like you put some serious thought into it all. You may or you may not have. But the fam doesn't need to know all that.
2. The Friend-Filled New Years Eve Bash
Now, this dress is pretty much the show-stopper of the whole entire outfit. New Years Eve is one of those occasions where you can get as regal and as fancy as you would like. So if you're looking to wear those sequins, wear them girl! If you're looking to wear some stilettos, bust them out the closet girl! If you wanna debut a new hair color, go all out girl! Be my guest. Now if you're looking to wear this bomb dress I'd suggest getting a size up if you can. The dress already looks super short on the model. You don't want the dress to be riding up and pinching in the wrong places when you're trying to Hit the Quan on the dance floor.
...And, at the moment, they're on sale from Express. It's meant to be. This geometric necklace is a subtle eye-catcher. It's unique and it'll set you apart from everyone else at the party. The best part of everyone's new year is going to be seeing your gorgeous outfit, girl!
3. The Slightly Impromptu Office Holiday PartyThis holiday outfit has the perfect amount of holiday spirit and professionalism all rolled into one. These pants are subtle with their sparkle. They've got a festivity that isn't blatant and I love that. The blazer's got only one button so it's comfortable enough to eat all the store-bought cake that your heart desires. I also really love the pumps. They're at that perfect height that won't have you complaining over the pain all night. And, the lace-trimmed blouse is the icing on the cake. It's a great touch to a lovely office holiday party outfit.
I hope I gave you some useful outfit inspiration for the holiday season!
