Where would I be without writing? Always confused.

Tip of the Day:

Everything is kind of jumbled up right now, so this is all open to interpretation.

Today is one of those days where I don’t really know what I want to think about. I mean, I know what I’m thinking about, but it’s something I’m worried about that I don’t want to make public. I’m going to let things just play out and I’m not too good at that, which is why I’m worried. I’m sure all of us have those moments where you wish you could just stop thinking and just let life do its thing. But that’s also a dangerous game -- having no control over what’s going to happen. I’m realizing that that is the reality. No matter how much we wish things could go a certain way, there are so many other aspects involved that sometimes we must accept the situation for what it is. Of course, fight for what you believe in and what makes you happy, but there comes a point where fighting for something could become unhealthy for one mentally and physically. You can’t control everything and if these other aspects prove to be consciously working against you, then let them go.

So, tonight is a test. I’m prepared for the worst and for the best.

I’m standing back because I understand that in this situation I cannot call all the shots, and it’s important to observe what goes on.

There is so much truth behind the saying that people’s true colors only shine when they think no one is watching. It scares me thinking about how difficult it is to find someone genuine, how difficult it is to figure out if they are real or not. And many times (maybe I do it too early), you believe they are real and it turns out they are not. I’d rather play things too safe rather than ending up regretting decisions. But (here comes the over thinker) when do you know if it’s safe? Is it ever safe enough? That’s why I tend to make impulsive decisions. I don’t like waiting -- if something is on my mind, I like to figure it out as fast as possible because I don’t want to keep constantly over thinking it. I don’t know if this is good or bad, but it helps get stuff out of the way. Obviously, sometimes I’m not happy with how things turn out, but then I give myself a day to get over it and don’t turn back. There’s no use in over thinking the past when there is so much in the present to be overanalyzing.

So, on that note, I’m going to end this.

Yes, it is all very vague but writing without the details of what is going on makes it easier to write. It makes it sort of not a big deal (which it’s actually not, to begin with) and get all my thoughts sorted out. Writing helps get everything in order in my head and ready to take on the rest of the day or night or week with a fresh mind.

Writing just makes it possible to believe that everything makes sense and everything is going to be OK (because it will be) no matter what happens.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
