Do you find that you are seeking professionally done business cards? Do you need corporate stationery? Or maybe you just want to have some nice printouts of your super attractive face on a fridge magnet or 3 year calendar. Well then, Vistaprint’s definitely got you covered.

A few days ago, I suddenly found myself in the need of some business cards, and, as is the norm nowadays, decided to order some from a website. However, I didn’t really know what to use, not having much experience printing from an online retailer. I found some really shifty sites (that I did not feel comfortable even inserting a gift card number into) all the way to stunningly beautiful sites, like Moo, that I couldn’t hope to afford but still ordered a free set of business card options (from square to rounded corners to luxe ultra-thick) that turned out totally awesome. But, if you’re looking somewhere in between (i.e., you actually want them to arrive but you have a budget because you don’t want to throw money away, even if you are lusting after cards that are a whopping 32 points thick.

I have definitely found that Vistaprint fits this need. I was able to order 100 business cards from the site, quick and easy. Just upload your predesigned PDF, or, if you like, you can design your own from templates, right on the site itself. There are a ton of options, from minimal to businesslike to casual to fun and flirty. And there are multiple options to fit right into any given profession. If you want to design it yourself, there’s a helpful guide to set up bleed marks (so that your images don’t get cropped on the edge) and make sure that your dimensions are correct and ready to go for printing.

I found myself riveted, tracking the package online obsessively, waiting for them to arrive (I had previously ordered a portfolio book from Blurb, and was super excited to see how it came out). So when I finally got the notification that it had arrived, I was ecstatic. Not only had my cards arrived early (a whole two days before they were anticipated), I also received extra cards, more than double the amount that I requested! I was excited, and hey turned out great. I chose a relatively cheap option, but it came with glossy paper included, and the finish looked amazing.

I think the only thing that I would consider when ordering from this site is the shipping cost. As with any shipping, the price increases dramatically the sooner you want them. Additionally, the tracking of the package can be confusing. In my case, the package said it arrived on a Monday, but actually arrived Tuesday (either way, it was early). So scheduling does need to be taken into account when ordering. But I would definitely recommend this site (and Moo if you want some beautiful stuff and don’t mind paying a little extra). And with so many options (business cards are just the tip of the iceberg), you can’t go wrong!

Either way, happy printing!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
