Welcome to another OPOW, SOU's personal Odyssey playlist filled with incredible songs. Some songs will be old. Some songs will be new. Overall, they will light up your week with great music. Here is this week's playlist:

Taemin “Press Your Number”

From one of the most popular K-Pop groups, SHINee, Taemin has returned as a solo artist with his new song “Press Your Number.” Produced by Bruno Mars and The Stereotypes, “Press Your Number” is an urban pop song about a man who desired to be with his lover again. The song begins with a mid-tempo beat which transitions smoothly into the chorus. “Press Your Number” makes a wonderful song to dance to—whether it’s on the dance floor, on YouTube, or in your room.

Gwen Stefani “Make Me Like You”

Everyone’s “Hollaback Girl” is back with a new song. Gwen Stefani has released her recent song called “Make Me Like You.” After releasing an emotional song “Used To Love You,” Stefani sings about falling for someone special. Unlike her previous single, “Make Me Like You” praises being in love and can’t help but love the person she is singing about. If you have someone special, you should blast “Make Me Like You” to express your love.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis “Kevin (ft. Leon Bridges)”

The rap duo is back with a new song called, “Kevin.” Their new single is a story about their friend, Kevin, who died from an overdose and the struggles of addiction and over prescription pain pills. With the help of Leon Bridges’ soothing voice, Macklemore expresses emotions of sadness over the person he is rapping about. “Kevin” is one of the powerful tracks about overdose but through a perspective of someone who does not take drugs/overprescription pills or survived from the overdose but does not want anyone to have that similar experience. “Kevin” is featured in Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ new album This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, which is out now.

Kendrick Lamar “Alright”

Grammy-award winning rapper Kendrick Lamar never fails to grab everyone’s attention. From his award-winning album How to Pimp A Butterfly, “Alright” responds how Kendrick escapes the hardships he experienced throughout his career. In the end, he is able to find the confidence to say that everything will be okay. Since it was released last year, “Alright” has become an anthem for Black Lives Matter activists and the black community. Lamar’s song and his entire album not only succeed musically but also send powerful message about overcoming hardships.

Fifth Harmony “Work From Home (ft. Ty Dolla $ign)”

Returning to the music scene, Fifth Harmony releases a new song called "Work From Home (Ft. Ty Dolla $ign)." "Work From Home" is about desiring for their lover to return home and make love to them. This R&B dance track is not shy to express sexual desire and confidence through the group's vocals. If you need a new song to dance to, "Work From Home" is a great song to dance around when you are having a good time.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
