Dear Dad,
Everyone has always told me that I look just like mom, but I act just like you, and I'm perfectly okay with that. You are the bravest, strongest, funniest, most caring, greatest man I have ever known. Anyone who meets you instantly loves you. Being your daughter is a true privilege. I appreciate everything you have ever done for me. You have always been, and forever will be my biggest fan. You support everything I do, every new hobby I have picked up.
When I decided to take up golf, almost every weekend we would hit the course, which I know had to be frustrating for you because I know I was terrible. Nevertheless, after every game you just said how proud you were of me. When I started baking you were always my first taste tester, and nothing was under exquisite for you. Now, currently, my new thing is knitting. You continue to ask to be my model for my hats and scarfs I have made for this grand business you think I should have. I know if one day I decided to run for president or be the first astronaut to go to Mars, you would do everything in your power to get me there. It means the world to me that you support everything I do.
You have taught so many things in my life. You taught me to always stand up for myself – that I deserve nothing short of greatness. You taught me not to care what people think of me, if someone doesn't like me it's their loss. You taught me that being a weirdo is nothing to be ashamed of, but something to embrace. Most importantly, you taught me that football is not just a sport, but a way of life. I can't begin to tell you how many people (boys) I have impressed with my football talk you taught me.
We’ve been through a lot together. You are the strongest man I know. You are my hero. You are my rock. You can read me like a book and always know when something is wrong. Thank you for keeping me grounded and sane when things get tough. Thank you for always making me laugh, whether it’s at you or with you. You have helped me in ways you could never imagine.
You are constantly encouraging me to try new things, to take risks, to live life to the fullest. If something big happens in my life you are the first person I want to tell, and somehow you are always a bit more excited about it than I am. I know if I need you, you will drop everything to be by my side. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you do for me and the unconditional love you give me. I wouldn't be the same person I am today without you in my life. No matter how old I get I will always be your little girl, and you will always be the first man I ever loved.
I will always need you and will forever love you, Dad.
Love,
Your Little Girl.
