An Open Thank You Note to My Best Friend from Home

It takes a very special person to love you when you are in the most awkward years of your life. You know, that time where you looked like Coconut Head from Ned's Declassified (we all had those years). It takes an even more special person to stick by your side when you go to school 631 miles apart.

I could never truly express how grateful I am for my best friend. She is definitely ~team keep it real~ and tells me what I need to hear, even when I am so in the wrong. But, at the same time I always know that she is always on my side and has my back. That is something special that you can only find in a true, strong friendship. You don't have to be reaffirmed every time you do something, you want their true honest opinion. And that is exactly what they are going to give to you.

I am so lucky to have this friendship.

I know that it is scary not knowing what the future holds, but it is so comforting to have a friendship that I know will always be there.

I can honestly say that without this friendship I think that my life would be in shambles. You keep me grounded. I am so lucky to have a friend that I know will celebrate my successes with me, and be there for me in the lowest points.

Thank you for knowing me like the back of your hand. Thank you for pretending that you go to college with me and know the people who I am telling you stories about. Thank you for sharing your college experiences with me. Thank you for being the Justin Timberlake to my Jimmy Fallon. Thank you for being a part of my family. Thank you for treating me like I am a part of your family. Thank you for the fun vacations together. Thank you for loving me endlessly and listening to my problems. Thank you for being YOU. I would not be the person I am today without the love you pour into our friendship.
