Hey You,
Look at how grown we are. It’s almost as if it was yesterday we were in middle school, playing stupid games, drinking too many energy drinks and staying up much too late than what was good for us. We never really did get any better at going to bed at a decent hour, did we?
You’re always there for me—and you have always been there for me, even when I upset you and you didn’t want anything to do with me. Even when you wanted a break from talking to me so you wouldn’t say anything that might’ve hurt me. You still texted me to make sure I was okay. You still put your negative feelings towards me aside to make sure I was okay, and when you found out I wasn’t okay, you sat and talked with me for hours until I was again. Or at least, until I was better than I was. I just want to say thank you again for all of that. And I’m sorry I upset you in the first place.
Being long-distance friends has its challenges. But all in all, I think we’ve worked through it rather well. We’ve had our fair share of attempts at being long-distance. 1,500 miles isn’t a short distance. But we’re strong. Strong in ourselves as individuals and strong in our friendship with each other.
I hope you know you can always come to me—no matter where I am in the world or in my life—with anything on your mind; whether it is good or otherwise. I will always be here to support you and to help in whatever way I can if you need it.
God has blessed me with such a good best friend; better than I ever could deserve. I know you always argue with me when I say this, but it’s true. Nothing I could do in this lifetime would make me deserve such an amazing person in my life such as you.
We’ve have shared so many memories together. From skating in middle school to mall trips throughout high school; from baking cakes and making a huge mess in my dad’s kitchen to taking our graduation pictures together. There has been so much we done, and so much we have yet to even touch on. Soon we’ll be in our mid to late twenties, graduated from college, possibly living together, and getting on with the next steps of our lives. I can’t wait to travel all over with you. I can’t wait until I get to see you walk down the aisle of your wedding, completely head over heels in love with your future spouse.
You’re beautiful, and I never want you to forget that. I will always be here for any heartbreak or big moment you have in your life. And I hope to always have you by my side for any bad experience I have to go through.
Thank you for being my best friend. I love you and you mean the absolute world to me.
Love,
Your Best Friend
