Only so many people are fortunate to call their high school friends their family, and I am so glad that I was able to. Starting sophomore year of high school I met an amazing group of people who I knew would be there for me through thick and thin until the end. As times went on people grew distant and others followed in their place, but by senior year, I knew exactly what group I actually wanted to be with.
Starting my freshman year of high school I was a three-sport athlete with no time to spare for friends, but swim team was by far my favorite because of all the people around me sharing the same love for a sport and becoming one. The friends I met during freshman year swim season I was close with but there was a distinct few that I knew would bring me to the end. When freshman year swim season ended, everyone grew distant until the upcoming swim season, where everything changed for the better. Sophomore year swim season was the best season that we all could have asked for, we had great races and times, and a group of us became a true family, a family that couldn't be broken. From walking through the halls, swim meets, or anywhere in between we were always attached at the hips and we all knew where everyone was at.
As the next two years went on a few dropped off but we gained about six others and now that I have all of you I wouldn't want it any other way. You guys make my world go round. I never thought I could have such a strong group of friends to get me through all of the hard times from stressing about school or swim meets, losing loved ones, helping me get through Steven's basic training and especially helping me pick out what college I was planning to go to due to my waiting until the very last minute to do everything, like always. You guys are my rock, and without all of you, I would be nothing. You have listened to all of my drama, my tears when I'm upset, laughed at me when I've done something crazy and just overall have been there for me. I have never been happier with such an amazing group. You all mean so much to me, and I don't know where I would be without all of you in my life.
My favorite year obviously was senior year but for me, I wasn't ready to graduate, I wasn't ready to leave my FAM. I didn't know how I was going to get through college without seeing all of you every day. Senior year we did absolutely everything together, we really were a family. Swim team, rides in the big blue van, prom, graduation, beach day, Cedar Point, weekends at grandma's, fires, graduation parties and everything in between. We did it all with no regret.
You all made my high school experience unforgettable; I just wish we could all go back to when we were all together. I miss you all so very much, and can't wait for this summer. Thanks for making my high school experience the best, and can't wait to see what is to come. I love you all!
Thanks for the memories fam!
