No, Mr. Trump, your message says it all. You would think that someone who attended an Ivy League school would understand the difference between a human being and a piece of candy.
Skittles aren’t living beings, they don’t have feelings, and they don’t live a life of horror. Skittles aren’t detained by soldiers on their way to work, accused of being a terrorist with a gun held to their head, only to be saved by a stranger claiming she knew him. Skittles aren’t injured or killed when their homes are destroyed by airstrikes. Skittles aren’t drowning at sea trying to escape their war-torn country. Skittles aren’t forced to live under ISIS regime, being ripped out from their homes in the middle of the night to be whipped for whatever reason ISIS saw fit.
People who are trying to escape a life of war and terror do not deserve to be so dehumanized to the point where they are compared to pieces of candy. People are dying every day. Almost half a million people have died in Syria so far. Fifty thousand children have died in Syria so far. And you are comparing the people that are still there and trying to get out to SKITTLES? Your insensitivity is quite ridiculous. What if the United States suddenly turned into a war zone?
What country would you fly to on your family’s private jet??
Even if you didn’t have the means to do that, what would you do to save yourself and your family? Where would you want to seek refuge? What if a country you planned on escaping to wanted to put a ban on you because you know, there are like three of you that could be terrorists?
